How it compares
Versus a full-time hire.
The comparison that matters is not our fee against another consultancy — it is against the fully-loaded cost of hiring the same seniority full-time, and the months it takes to get them in place.
| Full-time hire | Excellence PMC | |
|---|---|---|
| Time to start | 2–4 months | Within a week |
| Recruitment cost | 15–25% of salary | None |
| Equity | Usually required | None |
| Commitment | Permanent | 30 days notice |
| Skill coverage | One discipline | PM, BA and technical |
| If it is not working | Costly exit | Cancel |
Pricing questions
Why a retainer rather than hourly billing?
Hourly billing rewards spending time, not solving problems. A fixed monthly retainer means our incentive matches yours: get delivery predictable as quickly as possible.
What is not included?
We do not write production code, and we do not line-manage your engineers. Where hands-on engineering is what you actually need, we will say so and help you hire for it.
Can we change package mid-engagement?
Yes. Teams often start on Execution Stabiliser to get delivery under control, then move to Product & Delivery Partner once the immediate bleeding has stopped.
Is there a minimum term?
An initial three months, because stabilising delivery and demonstrating the change takes at least that long. After that it is month to month with 30 days notice.
Do you charge for the initial audit?
No. The 30-minute execution audit is free and carries no obligation. You leave with at least one concrete change you can apply whether or not you engage us.
Not sure which band you fall into?
Book a free audit. We will scope the engagement honestly, including telling you if you need less than you think.
